2. What we use today
NestMatch currently uses only strictly-necessary cookies and storage, which are exempt from prior consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the EU ePrivacy Directive:
- Authentication session — set by NextAuth when you sign in, so that you stay signed in across pages.
- Anonymous device ID — a random identifier stored in
localStorageso we can deliver results and remember your consent if you use NestMatch without an account. - Consent record — a small entry in
localStoragerecording the version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted, so we don’t prompt you again. - UI preferences — e.g. dismissing this cookie notice.
3. Third-party services
Some pages embed third-party services (for example, Mapbox maps, Google Sign-In, image providers). These services may set their own cookies governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
4. If we add analytics or advertising cookies
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add any such cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent through a cookie banner with clear Accept and Reject options before any non-essential cookie is set.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and browser storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and clear your saved consent on this device.
